I myself have been waiting for the soundtrack for a while, and was left mostly satisfied. The creator’s music choice does a great job of telling the story without putting it rifght in front of your face. Besides the original score, the songs they pick match with the characters different personalities and experiences. Euphoria not only does a good job portraying these themes with the actors, cinematography, and outfits, but they largely do it through music. It’s small hints like mannerisms or their words that let you know what is going on. When someone is depressed, or going through trauma, they won’t exactly express that very easily. When you talk about topics like these, they aren’t going to be in your face. It discusses things like drug use, addiction, mental illness and trauma. Even if this is not the conventional way of giving show a soundtrack, it works well with the atmosphere and settings.Įuphoria has a very dark theme. His style seems like it has techno influences, it reminds me of Daft Punk or something. Labrinth’s style isn’t one I usually lean towards, but I am open for mostly everything when it comes to music. I love listening to the scores of movies or shows, but this one seems a little different from most I have listened to. There are 26 songs, all made by Labrinth. Season 2 finished on a cliffhanger, but one I can’t say I’m eager to explore. As much as we love these characters and wish we would see their stories continue, Angus’ death was the final straw. However, add to this the delays, recent (and ongoing) strikes, and the soul-crushing recent passing of Angus Cloud. Finding a good time for everyone to film is a difficult task in itself. HBO renewed Euphoria for a third season, but this is a popular and busy cast. Season 2, in particular, saw Sydney Sweeney and Alexa Demie whine in their roles. The cast all get along and you can see this from the screen, they all share incredible chemistry.
